It is characterized by excellent abrasion resistance, high tear and tensile strength, and a favorable cost performance balance. From a production perspective, manufacturing is mainly concentrated in China, Germany, the United States, Japan, and South Korea, where polyurethane industrial chains are well established. In terms of applications, aromatic TPU is widely used in footwear midsoles and outsoles, industrial hoses and belts, cable jacketing, films and laminates, sports equipment, and various injection molded elastic components, making it the most widely applied TPU category globally.
