Biaxially oriented carbon fiber prepreg is a composite material semi-finished product made by pre-impregnating 0/90 carbon fiber woven fabric (plain weave/twill weave/satin weave, etc.) with epoxy, phenolic, BMI, or thermoplastic resins as reinforcement, with precise control over resin content, thickness, and volatile matter. This facilitates stable laying and molding, making it suitable for biaxial load-bearing structural components.


Upstream industries include PAN-based carbon fiber and fabric auxiliaries, resin/curing agent/toughening agent, release paper/film, and other auxiliary materials, as well as testing and standardization services. Downstream industries mainly serve manufacturers and end-user brands of composite components for aerospace secondary structures, automotive/rail transit lightweighting, wind power local reinforcement and repair, shipbuilding and industrial equipment, sports and leisure, and drones.


In 2025, the global price of biaxially oriented carbon fiber prepreg was $131/kg, with sales of 3,320 tons, an average annual production capacity of approximately 125 tons per production line, and an industry profit margin of 15-20%.
